The Internet of Things Technology segment of the 2025 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week Vocational Skills Contest took place at Nantong Vocational University in Jiangsu province on Nov 22.

Co-hosted by NTVU, the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao in the Philippines, along with two other higher education institutions in Indonesia and Singapore, the competition brought together 100 teams and 200 outstanding participants from 11 countries, including China, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

In his speech, Qiang Yi, Party secretary of NTVU, reflected on the five-year journey of growth with the event since the university first hosted it. He emphasized NTVU's commitment to providing high-quality services for the event and expressed hopes of using the competition as an opportunity to further promote practical cooperation with ASEAN countries in areas such as talent development, curriculum construction, and training base establishment.

Following the opening ceremony, the participating teams proceeded to designated training venues for intense competition, ultimately resulting in six teams winning the grand prize, 11 teams winning first prize, and 17 teams winning second prize.

In the afternoon, an IoT technology exchange conference was held at the university, where three university teachers delivered special reports, offering attendees a thought-provoking session on cutting-edge technology and innovative practices.

The successful hosting of this competition underscores NTVU's achievements in international education and demonstrates the deepening cooperation in vocational education between China and ASEAN. Through this event, participants from various countries not only honed their skills and enhanced their abilities but also forged strong friendships, laying a solid foundation for future China-ASEAN regional technical cooperation.
