The program headed by Yue Qianhou (pictured), Shanxi University’s professor working at the school’s Modern Chinese History Institute, has received financial support totaling 700 thousand yuan ($100.6 thousand) from the country’s Education Ministry. This accomplishment marks a significant step forward for the institute’s research around this subject. Yue’s program studies the collected literature concerning the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1937-45) throughout the Taihang and Lvliang mountain regions.
