Officials from Shanxi University, including vice-president Yin Jie, inspected State Grid Shanxi Electric Power Co on March 10.

The delegation visited the company's electric power dispatching & control center, learning about the establishment and operation of Shanxi grid as well as the development of new sources of energy, such as wind power. The delegation was led around the center by Zhang Tao, deputy manager of the company.

Officials from the university and the company also had a meeting themed around communication in areas like teaching, employment of graduates, and staff training. The two sides expressed the desire to cooperate on the building of laboratories and scientific research projects.
