The Shanxi leg of the China Collegiate Computer Contest (CCCC) was launched in the School of Software at Shanxi University on March 25.

Hosted by the Ministry of Education, CCCC is an authoritative science and technology competition for college students. It aims to develop students’ awareness of innovation, improve their IT skills, and advance the reform of college computer disciplines and further communication among colleges.

The contest will help promote IT education across colleges in Shanxi, according to the organizing committee of the Shanxi leg of the event.

A forum to discuss training and competition between undergraduates was also held during the opening ceremony.

More than 300 undergraduates from nine colleges across Shanxi, including Shanxi University, North University of China, and Taiyuan Institute of Technology, competed in the preliminary group programming ladder tournament following the opening ceremony.
