Chinese athlete Dong Dong, an alumnus of the School of Physical Education at Shanxi University, won the silver medal in the men's individual trampoline final at the Tokyo Olympics on July 31.

It's the fourth time that the 32-year-old athlete has competed in the Olympics. Prior to this, Dong won bronze at the Beijing 2008 Olympics, a gold medal at the London 2012 Olympics and a silver medal at the Rio 2016 Olympics.

In recent years, Shanxi University has given full play to its advantages in its sports-related disciplines and has reportedly contributed a great deal to the development of sports in China.

Feng Benyu, an international referee from the School of Physical Education at the university, has been engaged in technical and data analysis to support the national trampoline team since the start of the Tokyo Olympics. He has provided technical help for the Chinese trampoline athletes and witnessed them win one gold and one silver in the women's individual trampoline event and one medal silver in the men's individual trampoline.
