Public transportation groups in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, announced on Dec 5 that from that day, passengers taking buses and trains in the city are no longer required to present negative nucleic acid test results and green health codes.
The announcement was part of a series of adjustment measures in response to 20 national policy adjustments in the fight against COVID-19 announced in mid-November.
Suzhou will continue to optimize and adjust relevant COVID-19 prevention and control measures in accordance with national policies and the epidemic situation, while local residents are encouraged to continue adhering to social distancing and other relevant personal protection measures, such as taking temperatures and wearing masks.
Moreover, people over 60 years old are urged to get vaccinated as soon as possible in order to increase immunity among high-risk groups.
