Local team Chandashi won the final round of 2016 Asia Beat on March 18, winning the $10,000 prize out of a field of 80 entrepreneurial teams from fifteen countries across the Asia-Pacific including, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Israel, and the United States.
Asia Beat is an Asian venture competition hosted by companies such as AtWork, Institute for Information Industry, e27, Platum, and TechNode, which serves as an unique platform for spreading innovation and engaging in upcoming business opportunities in Asia.

This memorable global gathering brought together 3,000 participants, featured a competition of 92 startups, and a number of keynotes and panel discussion given by well-known angel investors and famous entrepreneurs such as Cai Wensheng, CEO of Meitu.

On the 18th, entrepreneurs including Wu Xinhong, co-founder of Meitu Company were invited to participate in the panels, discussing the topics of startup city comparisons, product design and marketing inside and outside of China, cross-border commerce, digital commerce and B2B business cloud computing.

The startup competition was the part of Asia Beat which drew the most attention. The twelve teams that made it through the preliminary rounds took their turns to display their products, and were then evaluated by eight judges from well-known investment institutions.

"Meeting users' requirements and big data analysis were two key requirements of the selected groups," said Li Zhu, co-founder of the Innovation Angel Funds as well as a judge of the road show, "It is worth mentioning that the winning team, Chandashi, happens to possess both of these two points".

Founded in Xiamen less than six months ago, Chandashi specialises in big data analysis and the optimisation of distribution channels. Collaborating with many app distributors, it accumulates hundreds of gigabytes of data daily, analysing how users find and acquire apps in order to help app developers promote their products and ads more efficiently.

In addition to the competition, the Belt and Road Startups Network was launched during the event, its members including fifteen ‘accelerators’. The members of this alliance will cooperate on co-financing, accelerating and joint road shows.
