Xiamen Industry Exposition kicks off

The Xiamen Industry Exposition (XMIE) opened on April 12 at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center.

Boasting 4,300 booths and 100,000 square meters of floor space, the exposition includes areas for machine tools and equipment, industrial robots, 3D printing and automation, industrial molds, rubber and plastics industry, printing equipment and advertising technology, and engineering machinery.

The Expo, which runs through April 15, also includes a number of industry forums.

The exposition is authorized by China's Ministry of Commerce and jointly organized by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronics Products, the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association, and the city of Xiamen.

Established in 1997, the Expo is currently the largest and most influential industrial exhibition along the Taiwan Straits. Nearly 40,000 guests from 33 countries and regions attended last year’s exposition.
