Four exhibition areas
The trading area for cross-Straits artworks covers some 35,000 square meters with a total of 1,500 booths. It has four sections: pottery and porcelain, wood and incense, jade and stone sculptures, and comprehensive arts. The area will include a research center for craftwork and art industries from Taiwan.
The creative area focuses on the design of intellectual property protection for cultural relics. It includes an industrial forum and an exhibition on cross-Straits internet and IP derivatives design.
The biggest IP trading platform under China's e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, Aliyu, will explore a new model for IP design cooperation between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan, together with Tencent Holding Ltd's WeChat Photo platform, 12 museums, 80 cultural tourism sites and zones, design associations and creative companies.
It will also include awards, such as the Most Creative Culture Products in Fujian Province, the Award for Art Design in cross-Straits Universities and the Summit on Research of cross-Straits Universities.
The film and digital area features both culture and technology, with more than 20 companies on display. It involves the latest virtual reality products and games, an interactive experience zone, a VR theme park, VR furniture zone, and a VR cinema. A cinema museum named Cross-Straits Image Memory will exhibit and show over 20 Golden Harvest Awardwinning films, as well as popular films by young directors from the mainland to present the development of cross-Straits cultural industries.
The cultural tourism area is another highlight of the expo. Representatives from 21 cities and counties in Taiwan will gather in Xiamen during the Taiwan Culture Creative Shopping Festival. As the first platform for cross-Straits kids' industries, an exhibition named Culture Creative for Children invites high-end brands to showcase their products during the festival. It aims to improve the quality of life for children and their parents.

China announced and implemented on May 15 a policy allowing visa-free entry of foreign tourist groups aboard cruise ships via all cruise ship ports along the country's coastline.
China and Georgia are set to waive visa requirements for travelers starting May 28.
