Xiamen announced on Oct 24 the first batch of 16 medical institutions to offer 24-hour nucleic acid tests, allowing people traveling to Xiamen from outside Fujian province to undergo nucleic acid tests in time.

The move is meant to minimize the risk of the virus spreading, considering the recent COVID-19 resurgence that has hit various regions, including Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Gansu, Shaanxi, Beijing, Hunan, Guizhou and Hebei.
People traveling to Xiamen from medium-and high-risk areas or low-risk areas of cities that have medium or high-risk areas are required to report to the hotels or communities they are living in or workplaces immediately, and undergo medical observation and nucleic acid testing, according to the latest epidemic prevention and control measures of the city.
China announced and implemented on May 15 a policy allowing visa-free entry of foreign tourist groups aboard cruise ships via all cruise ship ports along the country's coastline.
China and Georgia are set to waive visa requirements for travelers starting May 28.
