Authorities of Xiamen in East China's Fujian province recently invited two foreign experts to visit a local comics and animation company to give advice and guidance on the company's development.

The experts were Riyad, who came from India and has been engaged in animated film production for 15 years, and Philip Lambert, deputy dean of the Xiamen University Institute of Creativity and Innovation.

During the visit, they shared their views on industrial development and coordinated innovation. Riyad also talked about cooperation potential in 3D animation technology and computer animation technology between the two sides.

Professor Lambert said that facilitating exchanges between companies and foreign teachers will help keep the institute's teaching plan and technological research at the forefront of the industry, enabling the institute to cultivate high-end creative talents needed in the city's animation industry.

Xiamen has set up China's first scientific and technological volunteer services team made up of foreign experts in various fields like animation and design, marine ecology, as well as smart manufacturing.

Officials said that these experts will visit more local companies to offer targeted development solutions.

In addition, they are expected to help promote Xiamen and China's international reputation, attracting more international talents to the city.
