Three expats in Xiamen recently hosted a livestreaming event to share tips on epidemic prevention and control with their local counterparts.

Zuzana who works as a consultant at the Xiamen Service Center for Foreign Professionals, Caro, an organizer of the international women's community GGI, and Becky, a teacher at Jimei University, answered frequently asked questions by foreign residents about the city's epidemic prevention measures, including how to register for the QR code in Fujian province and how to receive COVID-19 vaccinations.

In addition, they shared their living experiences in Xiamen, which involved a lot of useful information for local expats.

Guanren community, where the livestreaming event was held, is one of the residential areas with most expats in Xiamen.

The first branch of the Xiamen Service Center for Foreign Professionals opened in the community in July 2021, and has since provided a wide range of services for foreigners, including linguistic trainings, cultural exchanges, living guides, as well as psychological consultation during the epidemic.

The community has also given out bilingual pamphlets that explain local government policies, and produced videos about living tips, such as applying for QR health codes, COVID-19 vaccinations, accommodation registrations and bank card applications.

Eight of the community's videos have been uploaded on the WeChat mini program "爱门通Amoyer" and have had more than 20,000 views.
