On March 26, a promotional seminar to advance the Global Development Initiative (GDI) and expand businesses was held in Xiamen, with the slogan "Creating new opportunities and seeking new development together".

The seminar introduced how the GDI is being implemented and policies facilitating international engagement among Xiamen enterprises.

During the seminar, Kong Suting, deputy director general of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Xiamen Municipal People's Government, highlighted the main ways in which Xiamen is promoting the GDI.

She stated that in order to advance high-level opening-up and attract foreign investment, as well as to address barriers for foreign nationals coming to China for business, study, and tourism, XMFAO, in collaboration with relevant units, will hold a series of policy promotion seminars to optimize the business environment, providing door-to-door policy services for enterprises.

Wu Yunyuan, deputy director of the Office of Xiamen Leadership Group for the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center, emphasized the new opportunities available to enterprises thanks to the construction of the BRICS PartNIR Innovation Base.

Meanwhile, Ma Cuilin, director of the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of the Xiamen Public Security Bureau, highlighted the new measures taken by Xiamen in facilitating entry and exit procedures.

Specific interpretations were provided regarding policies related to visas for foreign nationals at ports, the issuance and management of entry and exit documents for Chinese citizens, and the application policies for the APEC Business Travel Card, offering a policy package to help enterprises expand international exchanges and cooperation.
