HK & Macao affairs office head meets HK official
On March 7, Zhang Quan, director general of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the Xiamen Municipal People's Government, met with a delegation led by Cheng Chun Sang, head of Fujian Liaison Unit of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Both sides exchanged views on further strengthening exchanges and cooperation between Xiamen and Hong Kong.
During the meeting, Zhang said that Xiamen and Hong Kong shall further enhance engagement and cooperation, implement the consensus reached at the Fourth Plenary Session of the Fujian-Hong Kong Cooperation Conference and promote practical cooperation between Xiamen and Hong Kong in fields such as trade, investment, technological innovation, tourism, exhibitions, education, culture and youth exchanges, in order to better serve the overall development of the country.
Cheng said that the liaison unit will continue to act as a bridge and window to strengthen connections between the two sides and jointly propel cooperation between Hong Kong and Xiamen to new heights.
