Xiamen mayor meets Turkish ambassador to China
On March 18, Huang Wenhui, mayor of Xiamen, met with Ismail Hakki Musa, ambassador of Turkiye to China.
Huang said that Xiamen, as one of the first four special economic zones in China, is home to a pilot free trade zone and occupies a strategic position as a maritime cooperation hub. It boasts a high degree of openness and an excellent business environment, he added.
Huang hailed close exchanges and interactions between Xiamen and Turkiye in various fields. He said Xiamen is willing to work with Turkiye, guided by the leaders of both countries, to carry out closer exchanges and cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Musa said that Turkiye is ready to further strengthen exchanges and interactions with Xiamen and to facilitate mutual investment and trade as well as promote people-to-people exchanges to deepen mutual understanding.
