A Serbian film delegation visited Huangshan's Changyuan International Art Village, discussing film-rural integration and cultural exchange with Chinese counterparts.
A delegation from Serbia's National Film Board, led by Chairman Miloslav Lekić, visited Huangshan from Feb 8 to 9. They stayed at the "Wandering Muse" art hotel in Changyuan International Art Village and held discussions with local representatives on such topics as artistic creation, film location scouting, and cross-cultural collaboration.
The chief's focus was on exploring a new model of "film + countryside" development. Both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges regarding potential Sino-Serbian cooperation in art and film, cultural exchange, and the symbiotic relationship between cinematic art and rural revitalization.
Lekić expressed his admiration for Changyuan, stating, "I really love it here because you have everything. I suppose I will meet other interesting people here." His visit highlights the village's growing profile as an international arts destination.
The visit also attracted notable figures from the Chinese film industry. Director Xie Fei remarked that Changyuan represents "art entering the countryside, leading the way for the times". Song Wen, founder of the FIRST International Film Festival, praised the unique artistic atmosphere.
This exchange marks a significant step in using cultural and artistic dialogue to foster international connections for Huangshan, positioning its rural art communities as potential hubs for creative collaboration.
