Huangshan kicks off Year of the Horse celebrations with folk activities running through March 3. Visitors can experience dragon dances, lantern fairs and concerts across seven districts.
Tunxi district
- Riverside Concert: Feb 17–22, 19:00-20:00, Tunxi River Street. Live bands, giveaways.
- Huixiu Carnival: Feb 17–23, from 14:00, Huixiu Scenic Area. Grand shows, bonfire, NPC interactions.
- Treasure Hunt: Feb 18–21, Huashan Mystery Grottoes. Puzzle-solving quests.
Huangshan district
- Longma Peace Year Fair: Feb 11–12 & 17–23, 9:00-21:00, Liujiao Tower Square. Folk crafts, bonfire, opera.
- Jiulong Blessing: Feb 17–23, 9:00-17:00, Jiulong Waterfall. Dragon rituals, DIY crafts.
- Silk Dragon Dance: Feb 16, 18:00-20:00, Gangcun village. Traditional dragon parade.

- Manchi Deng Lantern Fair: Feb 19, 25 & March 3, 14:00-20:30, Yansi Old Street. Giant lanterns, prayer floats.
- Mount Ling Lantern Festival: Feb 17–March 3, 18:30-19:30, Mount Ling Resort. Thousands of lanterns, blessings.

- Heritage Parades: Feb 11–14 & 17–23, Huizhou Ancient City. Sword lanterns, bench dragons, fish lanterns.
- Fish Lantern Performance: Feb 17–21, Shendu Old Wharf. Immersive riverside show.
- Changxi Lantern Show: Feb 11 & March 3, 18:30-20:30, Changxi village. Folk procession.
Xiuning county
- Qiyun Mountain Fulu Year: Through March 3, 9:30-22:00, Qiyun Resort. Fireworks, Nuo dances, blessings.
- Bench Dragon: Feb 18, 23 & March 3, Liukou and Hecheng villages. UNESCO folk performance.
- Scholar Lantern Night: Feb 19, 19:00-20:30, Zhuangyuan town. NPC-led procession, wish tree.
