Huangshan Tunxi International Airport in East China's Anhui province is set to resume and launch multiple international routes in the first half of this year to boost economic, trade and tourism exchanges, an airport official said.
The Kuala Lumpur route will resume on March 7, with frequency optimized from one to two flights per week (Saturday and Sunday). The Bangkok route is scheduled to open on March 27. In early April, routes to Seoul, Busan, Daegu and Jeju in South Korea will be added. Late April will see the launch of routes to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
The Kuala Lumpur service was temporarily suspended in February due to the Spring Festival holiday. "The resumption and increased frequency of the Kuala Lumpur route is a key step in meeting market demand and deepening ties with Southeast Asia," an airport official said.
"It will significantly enhance Huangshan's connectivity, creating an efficient air bridge for cultural tourism and economic cooperation." The airport is accelerating the expansion of its international network expansion, aiming to strengthen links with Southeast Asia and the traditional South Korean market.
Building on the 240-hour transit visa-free policy, the airport aims to offer high-quality services to connect Huangshan with the world, driving regional openness and high-quality economic development.
