A group of more than 20 French tourists toured Tunxi Old Street in Huangshan on March 24, experiencing Huizhou culture through guided walks and local cuisine.
Amid a light spring drizzle, the visitors strolled along the flagstone paths under umbrellas, taking in the white-walled, black-tiled Anhui-style buildings and distinctive horse-head gables. The misty rain added a poetic touch to the historic street, and the group paused frequently to observe traditional crafts such as Hui ink sticks and She inkstones, engaging with local artisans and taking plenty of photos.

The tour continued at the China Hui Cuisine Museum, where the group watched cooking demonstrations and sampled signature dishes including fermented mandarin fish and hairy tofu. One visitor described the flavors as "amazing". A French-speaking guide introduced the cultural significance of each dish, adding depth to the culinary experience.
The visit highlights a growing influx of inbound tourists to Huangshan, where there is rising demand for foreign-language guides. Tunxi is strengthening its appeal to international visitors through improved multilingual services, aiming to present a more accessible and engaging image of Huizhou culture to the world.
