Tangmo Ancient Village in Huangshan's Huizhou district will present a curated schedule of traditional cultural performances during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday.
The day begins at 10:30 am with Joy in Tangmo at the 400-year-old Scholar Tree, known as "China's No 1 Wedding Tree". At 2:30 pm, Gao Yang Bridge Opera Excerpts will be held on the iconic stone bridge, followed by The Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) Silk Tax Case at Shangyi Ancestral Hall at 3:30 pm.

Evening performances commence at 6:00 pm with Langxi Dragon Lantern's Dragonfly Skimming Water stunt at the Old Workshop. The procession continues at 7:00 pm with Gao Ye Lanterns and Zhong Kui Dance, parading from Jishan Hall to the Sun-drying Square.

The grand finale at 7:18 pm features Topping the List, a night parade of fish and dragon lanterns winding through the water streets, symbolizing hope for academic success. This signature spectacle incorporates elements of Huizhou lantern art, imperial examination culture, and waterside garden scenery.

Hanfu-clad visitors can borrow fish lanterns free of charge and join the parade, while custom lantern painting workshops are available by reservation.
