A training program on women's innovation and entrepreneurship capacity building for developing countries was held in Huangshan, Anhui province, from June 26 to 29, drawing 30 female representatives from seven countries including Armenia, Costa Rica, Gambia and Turkey.

Hosted by China Women's University with support from Anhui Women's Federation, the program brought together participants from all walks of life, like government officials, women's organization leaders, academics and entrepreneurs.

During the four-day event, participants took part in an immersive Huizhou tea ceremony workshop led by a local intangible cultural heritage inheritor, learning the cultural essence of Chinese tea art and trying the traditional Song-Dynasty tea whisking technique. They also visited Hongcun ancient village, local eco-agricultural enterprises, heritage studios and rural homestays, exploring local women's successful practices in eco-farming, cultural heritage revitalization, live-stream e-commerce and rural tourism.

Participants hailed the program as highly rewarding. A senior official from Zimbabwe's Ministry of Women Affairs said Huangshan's policy support and women-driven business models provide valuable references for promoting women's entrepreneurship and income growth back home. A Turkish university associate professor called the experience eye-opening, commending Chinese women's active roles in rural development and social governance, and will introduce the best practices to their domestic work.

Local authorities said the program offers a precious platform for mutual learning. Huangshan will strengthen cooperation with women's organizations worldwide to jointly advance global women's development via innovation and cultural exchanges.
