Haidian shines at Beijing cultural industries expo

As a part of the 12th China Beijing International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo (ICCIE 2017), Haidian held a launch ceremony for the district's creative products on Sept 11 with over 20 Haidian-based enterprises in attendance.

Technologies, such as a digital TV network library, Summer Palace broadcast equipment, virtual reality (VR) equipment and color 3D printers, were on display.

The Haidian district of Beijing has been working on building strong innovation capabilities. With a focus on Zhongguancun Science Park, Haidian authorities continue to encourage the creative culture of Zhongguancun. In recent years, Haidian has formed a thorough science creative service system.

During the country's 13th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015), the Haidian district made great efforts to promote the district's cultural creative industries, driving the innovation of technology, content creation and the management of cultural creative industries. The integration of culture, technology, information services and finance has also been strengthened.

Launched in 2006, ICCIE has witnessed 11 years of development, altogether attracting visitors and exhibitors from over 100 countries and regions.
