2nd Zhongguancun Digital Culture Festival opens

The Second Zhongguancun Digital Culture Festival launched in Beijing on Nov 13, attracting a number of big names in politics, business and culture from around the world. The experts shared their views on the integration of digits and culture and on the future of digital culture.

Themed "new era and new journey", the three-day festival mainly demonstrated the latest achievements in digital science and technology and artificial intelligence, aiming to serve the Belt and Road Initiative and the promotion of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei cluster intergration.

As part of the fifth Beijing People-beneficial Cultural Consumption Season, the festival comprised of five main forums, two sub-forums and one seminar, including a summit on digital economy, and a themed exhibition on the arts and science in Beijing-Tianjing-Hebei cluster.

Guo Mingshe, vice president of China Association for the Promotion of Development Financing, hailed Zhongguancun Science Park (Z-Park) a global influential hub for scientific and technological innovation and for high-tech technologies, during her speech at the festival.

Considered as "Chinese Silicon Valley", Z-Park has incubated plenty of renowned enterprises that have great global influence, including Lenovo, Baidu and Xiaomi.

"The Zhongguancun digital culture alliance and Zhongguancun industrial technology alliance are of great importance to the industrial innovation and the future innovation to the Z-Park," said Mei Meng, president of the Council of Industry and Technology Aliances in Z-Park.

A feast for science, technology and culture, the festival was also attended by Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, Li Yanhong, CEO of Baidu, Zhou Hongyi, CEO of Qihoo 360 and Wangxing, CEO of Meituan.
