France, China partner on talents exchange
The first-ever Forum Franco-Chinois sur L'Innovation (France-China Forum on Innovation) was held successfully in Beijing on Nov 24, discussing methods of high-level talents exchange.
Co-hosted by China's Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation of France, the forum initiated an exchange project involving outstanding scientific researchers in both countries.
A total of 40 young scientific researchers from the two countries will be funded to carry out exchanges and scientific innovation cooperation in mathematics, physics, medicine, and biomedicine.

Ye Dongbai, head of the international collaboration division at the Ministry of Science and Technology, said that France and China are dedicated to strengthening cooperation on projects, talents and bases. The joint laboratories strongly support cooperation on scientific and technological innovation between the two countries.
The head of the international and European affairs department of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation of France, noted that France has regarded China as the most important partner in scientific research for a long time and is willing to promote taking cooperation to a higher level.

Themed forums were organized as a platform for young researchers to discuss the establishment of talents exchange policies and procedures, expansion of scientific research innovation and cooperation and promotion of sustainable development of France-China joint laboratories.
The event also invited 40 scientific researchers to visit the Exhibition and Exchange Center of Zhongguancun Science Park. The park's cutting-edge innovation achievements in bio-health, intelligent transportation, and artificial intelligence stirred strong interest among the visitors.
