iFlytek backups Redstar Macaline's tech services
Leading Chinese AI company iFlytek announced a strategic cooperation with Redstar Macaline Group, China's household service giant, on Dec 18. Together they hope to lead China's household industry into a new era of technological services.
Meimei, an intelligent robot operated and produced by iFlytek, will become the new shopping guide in each outlet of Redstar Macaline across the country, assisting customers in finding favored household products and solving problems.

The Zhongguancun-based company iFlytek applied a series of cutting-edge intelligent technologies on the new type of robots, including sound source positioning, 360-degree voice wake-up, far-field reception, laser high-precision positioning and navigation, and autonomous obstacle avoidance. These features will enable the robot to follow consumers and provide voice interaction service even in a noisy market.
Liu Qingfeng, president of iFlytek, introduced that AI is changing the world and the company's cooperation with Redstar Macaline will build an eco-chain for the development of intelligent industry, enabling China's household industry to be the first to enter the AI era.

Che Jianxin, president of Redstar Macaline, said that the AI robot can not only provide better and more precise services for customers, but also promote Chinese household aesthetics.
The cooperation will integrate the AI industry and bricks-and-mortar retailers, realizing win-win-win for the industry, customers and retailers.
