The award ceremony for the 2017 Zhongguancun Top 100 High-growth Enterprises Award was held on Dec 26, with over 400 government leaders, industry elites, and representatives from select companies and associations in attendance.

Zhongguancun-based smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi Corp ranked top on the list, followed by Beijing Megvii Face ++. Ten companies, including Beijing Anxin Tianxing Technolgoy Co Ltd, won the Achievement Award.

In a bid to provide strong financial support to these companies, the Beijing Zhongguancun Association of High-tech Companies signed a cooperation agreement with Beijing Zhongguancun Finance Group. Both sides will work on a financing system for the innovative development of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Liu Hui, vice inspector of Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, said that Zhongguancun, known as China's Silicon Valley, is the site of Beijing's new Science and Technology Innovation Center. The center will draft policies to attract more talent and further encourage the development of high-end industry.

The Zhongguancun Top 100 High-growth Enterprises Award has been held every year since 2009 and has become the most authoritative award in the area.

Zhao Changshan, president of Zhongguancun Development Group, says the event helps Zhongguancun tech companies to promote brand recognition, expand their market, and increase investment.
