2017 Zhongguancun M & A Summit kicks off
The first-ever Zhongguancun M & A (Merger and Acquisition) Summit commenced in Beijing on Dec 19, 2017, focusing on Zhongguancun's M & A and innovation development in the new era.
The summit, hosted by Zhongguancun M & A Development Promotion Association, aims to integrate M&A resources to build Zhongguancun M & A capital center and comprehensive service platform for companies' transformation, upgrading and expansion.

Yu Jun, governor of Beijing's Haidian district, introduced that Haidian district constantly improves the ecological environment for innovation and entrepreneurship and it has gathered more than 3,000 financial institutions through the construction of the National Science and Technology Innovation Center.
A plan designed for local companies was officially launched for the first time during the summit. With the first phase of a total of 19 partners, the plan will pool all kinds of M & A elements, improve the M & A chain, and provide companies with supports from policies, funds, projects, talents and services. It aims to boost the real economy with finance and promote regional economic restructuring.

Li Daokui, head of the Tsinghua University's Center for China in the World Economy, was invited to give a keynote speech on "New Economy, New Finance and New Zhongguancun".
Li said, "The country's highest goal is to maintain a long-term and steady development of 33 years, so that it can truly build itself into a socialist power by 2050."
