The Zhongguancun Culture and Technology Integration Summit and the Zhongguancun Promotional Conference for Cooperation on Culture and Creativity were held in Zhongguancun Science Park on Dec 27.

The event was organized by the Culture & Creativity Association of Haidian District, Beijing and the Zhongguancun Culture & Creativity Alliance.

One of the most influential industry promotion events in Zhongguancun, the forum has adopted the slogan "innovation leads to development, integration opens up the future".

Zhao Ping, deputy director of the publicity department of Haidian district, gave a keynote speech on the development of Zhongguancun's cultural and creative industries and the government's support for the integration of culture and technology.

The highlight of the summit was a round-table discussion with seven guests, among which were government leaders, industrial experts, as well as representatives from investment institutes and various other companies. The discussion focused on innovation, integration, and development, with hot topics such as how to promote the development of local culture and how to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship.

The conference showcased innovative projects in Zhongguancun which integrated science, technology, education, and culture.

Seven Zhongguancun companies, including the Computer Network Information Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Z-Park I-M-Way, and Beijing Mind Education Technology Co Ltd, introduced their projects, which included everything from internet plus, artificial intelligence, and animation creation to equipment manufacturing, virtual reality, and popular science.

The 2017 Yearbook for Haidian District's Cultural & Creative Industries was released during the event. The book describes the region's innovative environment and details the current state of development of Haidian's cultural and creative industries.
