The Zhongguancun Science Park's administrative committee signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Jan 5 with the Pinggu district government and Beijing Wuzi University to support the development of a modern logistics industry in Pinggu district.

The three parties will cooperate on the construction of the Pinggu Institute of Modern Industrial Development and Research at Beijing Wuzi University.

Zhongguancun plans to build its sub-park, Zhongguancun Pinggu Park, into a logistics park that integrates smart logistics, the exhibition and trading of modern logistics equipment, and research and development of logistics technology.

The cooperation of the three parties will also focus on the training and exchange of talent, as well as government policies that promote the development of a modern logistics industry to attract more investment. The Pinggu Logistical Information Public Service Platform is also under construction in Pinggu district.

Zhai Lixin, director of the Zhongguancun Science Park, noted that cooperation will focus on the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, further optimization of the local business environment, and innovative policies. The three parties will also explore new ways to transform and improve Pinggu Park.
