No 5 Baidu's DuerOS smart chip

Chinese search engine giant Baidu launched its digital assistant-focused DuerOS smart chip on April 13, 2017, produced jointly with ARM, Tsinghua UniGroup and High-Flying (HF).

The newly-unveiled DuerOS smart chip provides one-stop intelligent voice interactive solutions focusing on cost, performance, and ease of use. It is the first important product launched by Baidu's Duer business unit since it became independent in 2017.

Zhu Kaihua, chief technology officer of the Duer business unit, said that the smart chip has low cost and a built-in DuerOS. It can be placed on any hardware.
