Catering and Meals

There are on campus student canteens and restaurants offering different styles of food to cater for varied tastes. Almost all of these places accept BISU meal cards. In case you don’t have the meal card on you, you may buy a meal ticket at the water bar of the canteen. When you dine outside the campus, make sure the place and the food are clean. Do not buy or eat food from street venders. Take good care of your belongings when you dine.

No 1 Canteen

Opening hours: 7:00 - 20:30

There are Korean Restaurant, Muslim Restaurant, and Shu Yuan Restaurant on the second floor of No 1 Canteen offering delicious food. You can also dine at Foreign Expert Restaurant, and on the second floor of International Exchange  Center Building.

No 3 Canteen

Oopening hours: breakfast: 7:00 - 8:30 a.m., lunch: 11:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and supper: 17:00 -18:30 p.m.

Banks

Industrial and Commercial Bank of China:to the east of school North Gate

Agricultural Bank of China:500 meters west from North Gate, south side of Chao Yang Road

ATMs:

China Construction Bank:outside the No 3 Canteen         

China Merchants Bank:inside the No 2 Lecture Building

Post Office

Campus Post Office:behind the campus supermarket

Opening hours: 9:30 -17:00

San Jian Fang Post Office:about 500m to the east of North Gate, on the north side of the street

Opening hours: 8:30 - 18:00 (no lunch break)

Shopping

Campus Supermarket: south of the No 2 Canteen

Tian Ke Long Supermarket: Opposite BISU North Gate

Lotus Supermarket: take bus 342, 382, 388, 411, 639, 731, 846 or BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) heading west, across the street from North Gate, and get off at Min Hang Hospital (about 10 to 15 minutes ride). Bus fare is 1 yuan, and with a Public Transport Card,the cost is only 40 cents.

Fitness

There is a large plastic-rubber sports ground on the southern part of the school premises, where you may do jogging, running, or playing football. Besides this sports ground are basketball and volleyball courts. Open hours: 6:00 - 8:00a.m., and 3:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

The tennis courts to the south of the No 2 Lecture Building are fee-paying facilities: RMB 5 yuan per person per hour, Monday through Friday, and RMB 10 yuan per person per hour for weekends and holidays. Opening hours: 14:00 - 19:00.

A professional swimming pool is located on the first floor of the International Exchange Center, which is open every day from 14:00 till 22:00 in summer time (90 minutes for each round) and from 15:00p.m.to 21:00p.m. in winter (120 minutes for each round).

There is a Badminton Stadium on the third floor, which is open before 17:00p.m., Monday through Friday, for RMB 25 yuan per hour. After 17:00p.m.and at weekends: RMB 40 yuan per hour. Advance booking is required.

Training classes for Yoga, swimming, dancing and Karate will be held here from time to time. Please see notices on the bulletin board in the hall of International Exchange Center for details.
