China Academy for Tourism Talent Development

The China Academy for Tourism Talent Development, jointly established by the former National Tourism Administration and Beijing International Studies University (BISU), was officially launched at BISU on June 30, 2010, with the functions of studying the supply and demand characteristics and development rules of tourism talents in China, providing plans for tourism talents and policy consulting, and carrying out entrusted projects of national and provincial cultural and tourism administrative departments.

The secretariats of the first and second sessions of the national tourism vocational education and teaching steering committee were located at the China Academy for Tourism Talent Development. Professor Ji Jinbiao, president of BISU and the China Academy for Tourism Talent Development, currently serves as chief advisor of the national tourism vocational education and teaching steering committee. In recent years, the academy has been carrying out key talent evaluation projects for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as well as studies, R&D and the training of high-level talent projects, which have achieved significant progresses.
