BISU holds online gala to celebrate Year of the Rabbit

Beijing International Studies University (BISU) held an online gala on Jan 22 to celebrate Spring Festival.

Hosted by the BISU Art Troupe, the event was livestreamed on the Bilibili short-video platform, drawing nearly 1,000 viewers online.

Ji Jinbiao, deputy secretary of the CPC BISU committee and president of the university, and Zhang Yan, a member of the standing committee of the CPC BISU committee and vice-president of the university, participated in the online gala and sent New Year’s greetings to teachers and students during the live broadcast.

The gala was an audio-visual celebration combining various forms of art, including a percussion performance, choral songs, ensembles of Western and Chinese folk musical instruments, a stage play and international standard ballroom dancing. The lucky draw sessions added vitality to the event.

Following the performances, BISU officials and alumni of the university art troupe expressed their best wishes for the Year of the Rabbit.

Hao Qingmei, secretary of the CYL BISU committee, and Lin Lin, a teacher of BISU, were also present at the gala.
