BISU holds forum on China's international communication

Beijing International Studies University (BISU) held a forum on March 27 on China's international communication and global people-to-people exchanges.

The English forum, themed International Communication of the Chinese Path, attracts almost 200 faculty and students.

Zheng Chengjun, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC BISU Committee and vice-president of the university, stressed at the opening ceremony that BISU is deeply committed to cultivating talents with global perspectives and love for the homeland, with the objective of contributing to China's participation in global governance and its building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Xi Ru, second-level inspector of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges under the Ministry of Education (MOE), commended BISU's contribution to international people-to-people exchanges. She hoped BISU to further leverages its professional advantages to expound on China's development path from various aspects and to present to the world the true, multidimensional and all-round image of China.

Zhao Zhikui, a professor at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, noted that it is important to enhance international students' understanding of China to make them ambassadors of friendly international communication.

In the Q&A session, BISU's international students showed keen interest on Chinese culture. They hailed China's rapid development and hoped their countries can emulate China's development experience.
