
Selçuk Ünal, the ambassador of Turkey to China, led a delegation to Beijing International Studies University (BISU) on Nov 28.
Ji Jinbiao, deputy secretary of the CPC BISU Committee and president of the university, welcomed Turkish Ambassador Selçuk Ünal and his delegation to BISU. He introduced the university's history, BISU's School of Middle Eastern Studies, and its educational collaborations with Turkey.
Ji emphasized BISU's commitment to cultivating ambassadors of cultural exchange in the new era and highlighted the university's distinctive international focus.
He expressed hope that Ambassador Ünal would facilitate practical cooperation in faculty and student exchanges in a bid to enhance cultural exchanges and mutual understanding between China and Turkey.

Ambassador Ünal appreciated BISU's warm reception and provided insights into Turkey's higher education landscape. He praised BISU's Turkish language program for its positive role in promoting cultural exchanges between the two nations and suggested collaboration in student and faculty exchanges and cultural center partnerships.
Ambassador Ünal noted the growing interest in Chinese language and culture in his country and expressed confidence that his visit would advance practical cooperation between Turkish universities and BISU.
