The Beijing Daxing International Airport economic zone development fund signing ceremony was held on November 20.

The Beijing Daxing International Airport economic zone development fund was established on November 20 in Daxing district, Beijing. Beijing New Aerotropolis Fund Management Co., Ltd signed contracts with representatives of all investors at the signing ceremony.

The fund will target 50 billion yuan ($7.11 billion), which is to be set up according to the needs of the project with a first phase of about 10 billion yuan.

It is the largest and most influential development fund established in the airport economic zone, which is located 46 km south of downtown Beijing. Officials from the Beijing Municipal Government and the People's Government of Daxing District as well as heads of relevant companies attended the ceremony.

Sufficient and diversified financial support is the guarantee indispensable for the orderly and efficient promotion of the new airport economic zone in Daxing.

Therefore, Beijing New Aerotropolis Fund Management Co., Ltd initiated the development fund to attract social capital in the development and construction of the new airport economic zone.

Beijing New Aerotropolis Holdings Co., Ltd has carried out the urban planning research work of the Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone  focused on creating intelligent, diverse and open workspaces to facilitate residents' social activities and trans-boundary innovation.

The development fund has three investment focuses: infrastructure and public utilities, regional services and urban operations, and airport industrial projects.

The Beijing Daxing International Airport economic zone covers an area of 150 square km surrounding the airport. It has been planned to develop industries ranging from international medical care, airport guarantees and support services to international convention and exhibition, comprehensive-purpose bonded areas, and aviation logistics.

It will build a "1 + 2 + 2" airport industry development system focused on one leading industry of life and health, two basic industries of aviation hub and air service, and two supplementary industries of information technology and intelligent equipment. 

The first investment projects of the economic zone have been released. They include an international exhibition center, an international health center, an international shopping town, and a comprehensive bonded zone.

In the future, the Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone development fund will give full play to the advantages of investors to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism based on current platforms, resources and experience. It is expected to power the Beijing Daxing International Airport Economic Zone into a new 4.0 model of a global airport economic zone.
