Designers, scholars, entrepreneurs and policy makers gathered at the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication to share ideas on the future of China's design industry. The discussions were part of the three-day 2019 China Design Festival.

Chinese cities especially look forward to more cooperative sustainable development with Norway, a leading player in the sector in northern Europe. Practitioners from both sides opened up dialogs at the festival. 

The Daxing district, one of the festival's organizers, signed a treaty of friendship with Stavanger, the fourth-largest city in Norway, hoping to introduce its experiences in green economy and clean technology.
