The construction area of the off-site facilities project of the Beijing Daxing international airport covers 37,000 square meters, and it is expected mainly to house on-site quarantines and epidemic prevention work for animals and plants.

“The resumption of the off-site project construction of the Daxing international airport began on March 15. To date, there has been 201 migrant builders on site, all of whom have come to the construction site through a point-to-point way. The resumption rate of personnel has reached 100 percent, and the project has full construction capacity,” said Wang Xuemin, manager of the project.

Decoration of the airport-related structures is being finished in good order.

“The Beijing Daxing District Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development will make greater efforts in the epidemic prevention supervision, construction quality, safety supervision, and dust control. The district will also pay attention to fire safety in spring and advance preparation for the flood season. Efforts will be made to minimize the impact of the epidemic on construction projects and economic development,” said Zhang Meng, an official of the airport group of the commission’s supervision station.
