Beijing Daxing airport area conducts first online live broadcasting

The Beijing section of the Daxing Airport Area, part of the China (Hebei) Pilot Free Trade Zone, launched its first online live broadcasting on April 28, 2020.

The Daxing Airport Area (Beijing section) has made institutional innovation a top priority since its establishment in August 2019 and has become an attractive place for business and talent.

The Management Committee of the Daxing Airport Area (Beijing section) of the China (Hebei) Pilot Free Trade Zone, together with the Beijing Foreign Exchange Management Department of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange and the Daxing district government, held an "online news conference on financial innovation policies of the free trade zone" in Beijing on April 28.

Nine institutional innovations were announced on Feb 18, aiming to foster innovation and entrepreneurship by offering procedural convenience and attractive talent policies.

The Beijing section supports high-end and technology-intensive industries including aviation logistics, aviation technologies and biopharmaceuticals.

The Hebei FTZ is comprised of the four sections of Hebei province's Xiongan, Zhengding and Caofeidian, and the Daxing Airport Area straddling Beijing and Hebei. The Beijing section of the Daxing Airport Area covers 9.97 square kilometers, roughly half of the overall size.

More institutional innovations are on their way, to develop the Daxing Airport Area into a hub for international exchanges and leading aviation technologies.

The airport area is expected to become a role model in the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.
