A children's show titled "The Adventures of an Icebear" made its debut at the Daxing Grand Theatre during the seven-day Spring Festival holiday, which fell between Jan 21 and 27 this year.

The show was produced by Arctic Ocean, a time-honored brand in Beijing. In the show, its leading character, a three-year-old  icebear, embarks on new journey in search of an iceberg after leaving his mother to lead an independent life.

The adventure brings the bear to an underground world during a storm. He decides to find the gorgeous snow-capped mountain painted on a floating bottle. Later, an injured gull joins him. They fight against the attack of seals, feed on seaweed, and come to an island full of plastic rubbish, which leaves them disappointed.

Finally, the icebear jumps into the cold water and endeavors to find the iceberg in his heart after he bids farewell to the gull.

The show unfolds from a child's perspective and adopts international performance techniques to arouse teenagers' inner love and reflection for the value of human life, and raises public awareness of the importance of ecological civilization.

According to Zhou Jing, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Daxing District Committee of the Communist Party of China, the district will work with Beijing Children's Art Theatre to produce more children-themed shows.
