The 2023 Digital Talent Development Summit will take place in Daxing district of Beijing on May 19, according to a press conference on April 15.

Jointly held by the Beijing Daxing Economic Development Zone and the 5G Special Committee of the China Communications Industry Association (CCIA), under the guidance of the CCIA, the upcoming summit will bring together dozens of Fortune Global 500 companies and Chinese Top 100 enterprises, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), experts and scholars from universities, research and educational institutions.

At the summit, participants are expected to hold in-depth discussions on the development approach for digital talents with Chinese characteristics.

The event will also witness the release of several research achievements, which include a white paper on the development of digital talents and a publication titled "5G, Artificial Intelligence and the Industrial Internet."

The first batch of standard compilation working groups for digital talent training was set up at the ceremony to push for standard-building work on the industrial internet, virtual-reality engineering technology, industrial robot operators and general competence in digital technology.

To date, the summit has received participation applications from over ten leading international and domestic firms and dozens of universities nationwide.

The Beijing Daxing Economic Development Zone is an important carrier for the capital city to advance the building of the national integrated demonstration zone, push for greater openness in the service sector and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone, and promote the high-quality development of its digital economy. It is also an ideal place for people to live and for companies to launch new branches.
