Changan Automobile ventures into robotics

On Nov 28, Changan Automobile announced its latest initiative through a promotional poster, revealing plans to establish Changan Tianshu Intelligent Robotics Technology Co.

The company has committed a significant investment of 270 million yuan ($38.18 million) to this venture.

During the 23rd Guangzhou International Automobile exhibition held from Nov 21 to 30, Changan showcased its innovative robot, "Xiao An". This humanoid robot stands 169 centimeters high and boasts 40 degrees of freedom in its joints, allowing it to perform martial arts, engage in conversation, and assist with various tasks. Xiao An also features a battery life of over two hours.

Changan has outlined an ambitious roadmap for its robotics development: begin mass production of humanoid automotive robots in 2028, expand into the household service robot market after 2030, and establish itself as a world-class provider of robotic products and services.
