Internet plus healthcare expo to be launched in Yinchuan

The "Internet+Healthcare" Industrial Expo and Application Conference will be launched on September 5 in Yinchuan, capital of Northwest China’s Ningxia Hui autonomous region, said the organizers of the Fourth China-Arab States Expo on Aug 20.

The event, themed on "Innovation by Internet Plus for a Prosperous Healthcare Industry", will close on September 8.

At the upcoming event, SIGNA Architect 3.0T, a new product by General Electronics, will make its China debut. The event will also feature the world’s most advanced da Vinci smart surgical system by Intuitive Surgical.

Well-known academicians and experts from home and abroad will be invited to discuss relevant issues concerning "Internet+Healthcare" and share their views about the future of the industry.

Also, senior executives from leading internet and medical equipment companies from China and other countries will introduce emerging technologies, business models, products and applications in the sector on the exchange platform enabled by the event for pragmatic cooperation.

Exhibitors will showcase high-tech electronic medical products, remote and mobile medical products and software, and application platforms, as well as offer direct product user experience and interactions.

It is set to promote immersion of internet technologies into healthcare services from the perspectives of medical care, public health, medicine supply, medical education, and artificial intelligence.

So far, 62 companies have confirmed that they will attend the event, including Siemens, Philips, GE, Intuitive Surgical, Olympus, China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, Tencent, Huawei, and Wanda.

A themed exposition will be held to show Ningxia’s achievements in the area of Internet+Healthcare.

Through sharing its successful models and experiences Ningxia will be seeking cooperation opportunities with the participating nations and regions.

In addition, Yinchuan First People's Hospital will inaugurate its effort to build a global internet hospital as a joint effort with the UCSF Medical Center, and sign a strategic agreement with China Machinery Engineering Corporation for an international diagnostic center.

During the event, a strategic partnership agreement on "Internt+Healthcare" between China and Benin, a partner of Ningxia for 41 years under the African Aid Program, will be signed to promote continuous medical aid as well as the bilateral friendship.

The event is sponsored by the People's Government of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and co-organized by the Division of Planning and Informatization of the National Health Commission, the Division of International Cooperation of the National Health Commission, the Health Commission of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, the Ningxia Committee of Jiusan Society, and the Chinese Health Information and Big Data Association.
