The Shandong International Friendship Cities Conference for Cooperation and Development (SDIFCC) will be held from Oct 15 to 20, with the theme of "Deepening Friendship Cities Cooperation and Sharing Development Opportunities ".

As of Sept 25, a total of 708 people in 93 delegations -- 49 at the provincial level and 44 at the municipal level -- from 35 countries in five continents had confirmed their attendance, as had diplomatic envoys, counselors and the consuls general of Japan, the Republic of Korea and Thailand in Shandong.

Jointly organized by the Shandong provincial government and the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, SDIFCC aims to explore new horizons of opening-up, build a bridge for cooperation and development between Shandong and its friendship cities to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

A series of high-end dialogues and forums, business talks, culture and tourism promotions and related activities including trade fairs and a photo exhibition will take place in the province's cities of Jinan and Qingdao during the event. Shandong keeps deepening friendship city cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, promoting the rapid and healthy development of its open economy.
