Shandong Party chief meets with consul generals from Japan, South Korea

Liu Jiayi, Party secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, met with Park Jin Woong, consul general of the South Korean Consulate General in Qingdao, and Kuniyuki Nakahara, consul general of the Japanese Consulate General in Qingdao, in Jinan, the provincial capital, on Oct 15.

Liu offered a warm welcome to the two consul generals, who will attend the Shandong International Friendship Cities Conference for Cooperation and Development from Oct 15 to 20.

Liu said that Shandong has maintained close relations with Japan and South Korea for years. He is looking forward to more fruitful cooperation in investment, trade, infrastructure construction, high-tech industries, and the upgrading of traditional industries.

Park Jin-woong and Kuniyuki Nakahara agreed with Liu, stating that they would work hard to fulfill their duties and promote cooperation between governments and companies in Shandong and their home countries.
