Nighttime economy flourishes in Taierzhuang ancient town

More and more visitors are going on night tours, watching performances and shopping at boutiques in Taierzhuang ancient town, giving rise to a robust nighttime economy in the popular scenic spot in Zaozhuang, Shandong province.

As night falls, the scenic area is illuminated with lanterns and colorful lights, creating a wholly different atmosphere from that scene during the day.

Light shows, cultural performances and folk culture experience activities help to attract more visitors.

Statistics showed that this year Taierzhuang ancient city has received more than 6.4 million tourists, among which 62.3 percent were night tourists, a year-on-year growth of 13.2 percent. Nighttime consumption has been on the rise, up by 19.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
