Nanshan Pop Festival staged online for first time
The 2020 Nanshan Pop Festival, a cultural brand founded by the local government, was broadcast live online from May 1 to 4, with a theme of “Embracing the world with love”, in Nanshan district, Shenzhen.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the festival was broadcast live online for the first time. All performances were brought to the world for free with the strong support of many live-broadcasting platforms, such as YiShenzhen app, Tencent Video and WeChat account Nanshan wentitong, or NSWTT.
Led by Chinese musician Tan Dun, who is also a public cultural consultant of the district, the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Opera and Ballet Theater and many local musicians gathered for the global anti-epidemic and sent out a moving "Nanshan voice".
