Hangzhou Asian Games hosts garden party

The 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 will be held from Sept 10 to 25, 2022 in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province.

A garden party kicked off on the Hubin Pedestrian Street in Hangzhou on Sept 12 as part of the two-year run-up to the event.

Plush toys of Feifei, the mascot for the 4th Asian Para Games, started being sold that same day.

This was also the first time that Congcong, Lianlian and Chenchen – the mascots for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, Feifei – the mascot for the 4th Asian Para Games Hangzhou 2022, Longlong – the mascot for Loong Airlines, the official airline services provider for the Games, Tmall, the mascot for Tmall.com and Zhixiaobao, the mascot of Alipay, have appeared together.

Since the launch of the Hangzhou Asian Games franchise program in early 2019, more than 300 pieces of merchandise for the Asian Games have been launched, most of which were displayed at the garden party.

Mao Genhong, deputy secretary of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (HAGOC), attended the garden party and unveiled the nameplate for the Hushang live streaming room, which has been designated as the live streaming room for Asian Games merchandise.

All official partners of the Hangzhou Asian Games have set up theme exhibition areas at the garden party.

For example, visitors can experience AR football, watch the Asian Games using VR technology, and watch the Asian Games live in HD at the 5G space station set by China Telecom and China Mobile.

Tmall also started an online event on Taobao, an online shopping app. People can participate in an online "five-kilometer run" to win an Asian Games gift.

A nighttime event was also held at the garden party.

The garden party was hosted by HAGOC and the government of Shangcheng district, Hangzhou.
