Seven Shanghai universities become IP demonstration, pilots

A list of the first batch of national intellectual property demonstration and pilot universities selected and recognized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the Ministry of Education was released on Oct 21.

A total of seven universities in Shanghai are on the list, according to officials form the city.

Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University and East China University of Science and Technology were selected as the national intellectual property demonstration universities.

In addition, Shanghai University, the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and the Shanghai Institute of Technology were selected as the national intellectual property pilot universities.

Officials said the demonstration and pilot work will be extend from Oct 2020 to Oct 2023.
