Yantai to host international apple festival

The first China Shandong International Apple Festival will be held on Oct 27 in Yantai, a coastal city in Shandong province.

The festival will set up an exhibition at the Yantai International Exposition Center displaying apple and fruit products from 24 major apple production areas and high-quality fruit-growing areas across China.

In addition to Shandong, a total of 10 provinces will participate in the exhibition, including Jiangsu, Sichuan, Shaanxi and Jilin.

Eight major apple production areas in Yantai will also be highlighted, showcasing the city's booming apple industry.

A series of activities will also be held during the festival, including an apple painting exhibition and an apple photography exhibition, to showcase the city's apple culture.
